Definition: Untracked Sleeve
Appears when reporting on a UMA that holds positions or cash that aren’t attributed to any of the UMA’s underlying sleeve accounts.
Think of untracked sleeves as a holding place for positions that don’t belong to any of the managed portfolios in the UMA.
Common reasons why you see untracked sleeves when reporting on a UMA:
Portfolio managers remove positions from their portfolios, but trading has not yet occurred to liquidate those positions.
Legacy positions or excluded securities are held in the account.
