SUMMARY
Before asking Tamarac to generate your 13F report, there are several data audits you must perform to ensure all the required information is accurate and up to date. This article explains how to audit options to ensure that the underlying security field is accurate and up to date.
MORE INFORMATION
All options must have an Underlying Security designated before generating the 13F report. Follow the steps below to verify that the field is populated using a bulk report.
- Under Reports, click Bulk Reports and Create Report.
- In Name, type a distinctive name to help you identify the report.
- In Report Type, select Security Information.
- Add Underlying Security and Security Type to the Selected column list and click Save.

- Click Run Report for the report you have just created.
- On the Report Status page, click Download Report for the report you have just run.
- Filter the resulting CSV file by Security Type to view all options. If any options do not have an Underlying Security designated, you will need to designate one.
Upload Underlying Securities in Bulk
If you identify multiple options that do not have designated underlying securities, follow the steps below to add underlying securities in bulk:
- Run a Security Information bulk report as described above, then make any desired changes to the Underlying Securities column.
- Under Setup click Uploads.
- In Add upload data set, select Security Information and click Add.
- In Data Source, select Copy & Paste.
- Select all columns of data from the updated Security Information bulk report CSV file. Copy and paste the data into the Copy & Paste box, then click Upload.

- Click Upload Status to check for any upload errors or warnings.
