Customize New Client Portal Widgets
Each Reports template includes at least one dashboard that is made up of a collection of fully customizable widgets. Some of the widgets summarize reports like the Account Performance, while others documents, budgets, income and spending, or MoneyGuide Success Meter. You build an inventory of these widgets and choose from the inventory which ones to include on the dashboards.
You can also allow clients to create their own dashboards and designate which widgets they should be able to choose from.
This topic provides steps for how to add widgets to the library and configure them.
To customize widgets in the library:
On the Client Reporting menu, select Configuration Tool (New).
Select Reports.
Select Customize Pages/Widgets.
In Widgets, in the Select a widget to add list, select the check box of one or more pages you want to add.
As you select widgets, the Select a widget to add list updates to show all the widgets you've chosen.
To remove a widget from the list, clear the check box next to the widget name.
To clear all the selected widgets at once, select x in the list.
Select Add. The widgets are added to the widget inventory.
Configure the widgets as desired.
To change the settings in one of the widgets, select the widget name link.
In the dialog, adjust the settings as desired.
Optionally, you rename the widget.
Display name. This is the name that clients see on the desktop dashboard widget and on the mobile app tile.
Configuration name. This name shows up only in the Configuration Tool. You can make it descriptive.
Select Save.
Optionally, repeat. You can add multiple versions of the same widget and adjust the settings to customize each one. Each additional widget will be automatically added with an incrementing number in the name.
