The adjusted rate is calculated by determining the weight of each rate used in the bill and then multiplying the weight by the rate and summing up the tiers. The adjusted rate is included after the billing allocation section if your Statement Display Options are set to Summary. For more information, see Billing Statement Settings.
Example Calculation
Billable value: $1,000,000
Billing rate for the first $100,000: 0.25%
Billing rate for anything over $100,000: 0.1875%
Calculate the rate for the first $100,000:
$100,000/$1,000,000 = 0.10
0.10 x 0.0025 = 0.00025
Calculate the rate for the remainder:
$1,000,000 - $100,000 = $900,000
$900,000/$1,000,000 = 0.90
0.90 x 0.001875 = 0.001688
Calculate the Adjusted Rate:
0.00025 + 0.001688 = 0.001938 = 0.19%
