Designate Funding Account Setting
Designate Funding Account allows you to designate an account as a funding account when selected. This setting will only be available if the account is part of a group enabled for rebalancing. For more information, see Learn More About Groups for Rebalancing.
A funding account is an account associated with a separately managed account (SMA). Funding accounts are often used for buys and sells in the associated SMA for manual execution. The funding account lets you see net money movement to and from the outside SMA account, helps you calculate buy and sell recommendations, and helps you better examine account allocations.
When you select the Designate Funding Account check box, the following fields appear:
Select a Funding Account: Select the funding account for the SMA account you're viewing.
Hold duplicate trades in funding account: When checked, Tamarac Trading will hold duplicate trades in the funding account.
Days to hold buy trades: Enter the number of days Tamarac Trading will wait before buying trades using the funding account.
For more information on how funding accounts work within Tamarac Trading, see Funding Accounts. For more information on separately managed accounts, see Separately Managed Accounts.
