Display Accrued Interest
The Display accrued interest account setting, when selected, allows you to see the position and account values steadily increase day over day as interest accrues until the interest transaction is paid, at which point the value moves to cash. With the account-level setting disabled, Tamarac reports display only the interest transaction when interest is paid.
Interest is generated by fixed income securities, mortgage-backed securities, and CDs.
In Tamarac, you enable accrued interest display at the account level and/or at the security level. The following table details differences between each:
Setting name: Display accrued interest
How to use it: Select or clear Display accrued interest for each account to display accrued interest for a specific security for some accounts but not other accounts.
What reports you see it on: Performance reports, when only account-level accrued interest is selected.
