First Name (Accounts)

Type the first name for the account if you're creating the account for an individual. To name an individual account or group, you can use the first name and last name or the Description field to label. This is not a required field.

The first name associated with the account may be used to identify the account on reports, the Accounts page, and in the Custom PDF section.

For an account, most users prefer to use the First Name and Last Name fields instead of the Description field.

If a group is for a single person, you will probably want to use First Name and Last Name to name the group. If the group collects a group of individuals, you can use the Description field instead, as this allows you to use a name like Abbott Children.
