Payment Distribution List
This setting allows you to choose the account or accounts responsible for paying the account balance or to indicate that the client pays by check.
To indicate a client pays by check, choose <Direct> from the list. This omits that amount owed from the custodian export.
You can distribute payments across multiple accounts:
Based on dollar amount
Based on percentage
Covering the remaining unpaid bill portion
For example, let's say a parent wants to pay 50 percent of his or her child's bill. You can specify that the parent pays half of the bill and the child will pay for the remaining balance.
In the example below, Michel Abbey will pay 50 percent of Georgia Abbey's bill.
To add an account to the billing group's payment distribution:
From the Payment Distribution list, select the account you want to add.
Set the percentage or dollar amount paid.
To add more accounts for payment distributions, click Add account to add more payment distribution accounts.
To remove a payment distribution account from the billing group, click Remove next to the account you want to delete.
