Create Generic Demonstration Accounts

You can use partial ownership accounts to create realistic accounts for demonstrations. These accounts are based on actual assets under your management and you'll never have to worry about compromising your clients' confidentiality since new ownership accounts are created with no client identifying data. When you create an ownership account, all client-identifying data is removed, including:

Only the data based on the historical transactions and holdings of the account is retained.

By setting up generic client portals ahead of time, you can show off your services at conferences or during unexpected meetings with prospective or current clients. You can:

A prospective client has a conservative risk tolerance. You have an account with a conservative investment strategy that has performed well and demonstrates why your firm would be a good match for the client. In order to convince the client, you create an ownership account based on that account and adjust its percentage to match the prospective client's potential investment amount.

The resulting ownership account will help you show your prospective client a realistic and customized picture of what your firm can provide.

Create a Demonstration Account

To create a demonstration account:

  1. Find an account that matches the parameters you want to demonstrate.

Remember, you can adjust the size of the account during the creation process by scaling the percentages. Instead, look for an account that reflects the specific investment strategy you want to display.

  2. Create a new partial ownership account based on that account. When creating the account, assign it a generic name and account number.

  3. Add the demonstration account to a demo Household that includes a demo client portal. The reports on the portal will reflect the demonstration account data.
