Create a table of contents for Report Studio reports
What's changing
A table of contents is a standard element in legacy PDF reports. Now you can include a highly polished automatically generated table of contents in Report Studio reports. When you turn on the table of contents, it detects your report's structure and generates a list of sections or accounts with accurate page numbers, matching the polished look of legacy PDF templates.
Why you'd use it
Including a table of contents delivers a consistent, polished reporting experience that aligns with your firm’s branding and presentation standards.
How to get started
In Report Studio, open Report Settings and turn on the Include table of contents section toggle.
Billing statements in Report Studio
What's changing
Billing statements give clients a clear view of their fee structures. In Report Studio, the new Billing section type brings the core functionality of legacy billing statement templates to the modern reporting interface. Use this section to include detailed or summary billing data as part of your PDF reports.
The billing section displays data directly from your saved billing history. Generating the report doesn’t trigger new calculations or change historical records.
With this enhancement you can:
- Choose a detailed or summary statement. Present gross fee calculations, adjustments, and allocations in either a Detail Statement or Summary Statement view.
- Preview statements before publishing. Preview the billing statement live in the editor to check layout and data accuracy before you finalize the report.
Why you'd use it
Use this feature to combine your client’s performance and billing information into a single PDF. The report includes investment results and a detailed fee breakdown to give clients a complete financial overview in one place.
How to get started
To add a billing statement to your report, in Report Studio, select New Section. In Section Type, choose Billing.
After you create the section, use the Settings panel to choose between a Detail or Summary statement and apply your preferred PDF Theme to match your firm’s branding. Before running the report, make sure you’ve generated billing history for the relevant accounts so the data populates correctly.
