Introduction

To streamline your workflows between Tamarac and CAIS, Tamarac provides single sign-on access to the CAIS Alternative Investments Marketplace. The SSO connects your Tamarac platform to the CAIS platform, where you can streamline tasks like onboarding, investment execution, reporting, and data management within your existing tools.

This article provides details about how to use single sign-on to access CAIS from the Tamarac platform.

CAIS Free Member benefits

With a free membership, you can benefit from access to a premium selection of alternative investment funds with independent and ongoing due diligence and performance monitoring, as well as capital markets offerings.

CAIS Research Member benefits

If you are registered as a CAIS Research Member. With Research Members status, you get access to:

• Hedge funds, private equity funds, and other alternative products at lower investment minimums.

• Mercer's independent investment research and operational due diligence on funds offered through CAIS.

• White papers and other educational materials about the broader alternative investment universe.

• New issue and follow-on offerings across all sectors in equity and fixed income.

• CAIS-sponsored events.

CAIS Transactional Member benefits

If you complete a transaction agreement and onboarding process, you will receive Transactional Member status. With Transactional Member status, you can:

• Initiate alternative investment subscriptions.

• Monitor holdings via a personalized dashboard.

Enablement

Before you can access single sign-on (SSO) or use snapshot-based data feeds from CAIS in Tamarac Reporting, contact Tamarac Account Management. For details about how to set up the data feed, see Workflow: Set up data feed for alternative investments in Tamarac.

There is a one-time fee to set up the CAIS data feed for your firm.

There is no cost to configure the SSO or access CAIS through Tamarac.

Use CAIS data in Tamarac Reporting

To manage assets, you need a complete view of all your clients' securities in Tamarac, regardless of where the assets are held. The CAIS integration brings alternative investment data into Tamarac alongside your standard custodian feeds for more complete, detailed reporting.

When configured, the data feed from CAIS creates and automatically updates manual security snapshots in Tamarac, allowing you to include alternative investments in your standard reporting package.

Access CAIS from Tamarac

To open the CAIS platform from Tamarac, under your user profile, select CAIS Alternative Investments. You’ll only see this option when the feature is enabled.

To establish the link between Tamarac Reporting and CAIS:

• If you are a new member, you will be guided through creating a new user on the platform.

• If you are an existing member, enter your username and password.

After you complete the setup, Tamarac remembers your CAIS credentials. You won't have to enter them the next time you open CAIS from Tamarac.
