Blended Indexes

Introduction

Tamarac offers an extensive library of indexes that you can use and blend together to create your own custom indexes. For a complete list of the indexes available in Tamarac Reporting, visit List of Available Indexes.

Create a Blended Index

To create a blended index, follow these steps:

1. On the Setup menu, click Blended Indexes.

2. In the Add an index list, select an index, and then click Add. The index appears in the Indexes section. Repeat this step for each index you want to add.

3. In the Blended index name box, enter a name for the index.

4. In the Indexes section, specify the weight for each index. The aggregate weight for the indexes must be 100 percent.

   

5. In the Fiscal year end for rebalance list, choose the last month of the fiscal year. If you choose None, Daily, or Monthly for the rebalance frequency, this list will be unavailable.

6. Click Save.

7. Under Rebalance frequency, choose the rebalance frequency for the blended index. This feature allows you to rebalance blended indexes at the same interval you rebalance your accounts.

Assign a Blended Index to an Account

To assign a blended benchmark to an account, simply visit Assign a Benchmark to an Account and follow the instructions on that page.
