Short Term Gain Restriction Boundary Setting

This setting allows you to tell Tamarac Trading when and how you'd like to be warned in case a sell produces a short-term gain.

Tamarac Trading will warn you if a recommended sell is turning from a short-term gain into a long-term gain within the number of days you specify here. This option is only available if you've selected Yes for the Allow Short Term Gains setting.

The Only warn if short term gain exceeds the maximum specified or matures within the restriction boundary check box affects how Tamarac Trading warns you about short-term gains.

The following changes occur when you either select or clear this option:

  • The short-term gain will be greater than the Maximum Short Term Gain amount you've specified.

  • Tamarac Trading can prevent the short-term gain from occurring if the ST Gain Restriction Boundary is violated on a lot-level basis.

  • Tamarac Trading will warn you if a trade violates either Maximum Short Term Gain or the Short Term Gain Restriction Boundary settings.
