Introduction
The Incoming Deposit Power Automate flow template helps your firm process incoming deposits more efficiently.
Instead of manually creating and assigning follow-up tasks, the flow automatically generates tasks based on the information you or your team members enter in an Incoming Deposit service request. This helps your team track incoming deposits, coordinate investment activity, and route work to the appropriate team members.
For information about the service request, see Submit an Incoming Deposit service request.
Note
Tamarac CRM provides both a base and multi-business unit (MBU) version of the Incoming Deposit flow template. Choose the template that matches your firm's business unit structure.
For more information, see Automate service requests with Power Automate.
Before you start
You must have appropriate permissions to use and enable Power Automate flows.
The following are the roles and permissions available:
| user | permissions |
|---|---|
| Any User with Dynamics 365 License |
|
| CRM System Administrator or Global Admin for Microsoft 365 |
|
Important
Disable your firm's legacy Incoming Deposit workflow before enabling the Power Automate flow to avoid generating duplicate tasks.
Incoming Deposit flow
When you submit an Incoming Deposit service request, the flow:
-
Generates an Incoming Deposit task and assigns it to the selected Service Request Task Owner.
-
Reviews the values you enter in the request and determines whether to generate the following additional tasks or notifications:
| Service request field | Value | Task or notification | Assigned to |
|---|---|---|---|
| Invest Cash | Yes | Invest Cash task |
Investment Task Owner |
| Send Notification To | Any user selected | Email notification |
Selected user |
Information included in tasks
The flow adds service request information to each generated task so assignees can complete the requested updates, including:
-
Financial account
-
Deposit type
-
Deposit amount
-
Deposit date
-
Source of funds
-
Check information
-
Investment instructions
-
Assigned owner
-
Priority
-
Notification recipients
Enable the Incoming Deposit flow
To implement this flow, we recommend you create a copy of each template instead of turning on the template flow directly.
With a copy of the template, you can choose to maintain all the components or further customize them to meet your firm's needs. This also protects your changes from being overwritten in future releases since the template is part of the managed solution.
To enable the Incoming Deposit flow:
-
Disable the legacy Incoming Deposit workflow.
-
Add the Incoming Deposit base or MBU template to the Tamarac Power Automate Flows solution. To determine the right template, see Automate service requests with Power Automate.
-
Create a copy of the template.
-
Optionally customize the copied flow.
-
Turn on the flow.
For detailed instructions, see Enable Power Automate flows.
