Introduction

Use the default Outgoing Money service request in Tamarac CRM to request withdrawals, transfers, distributions, and other outgoing money movements for clients.

After you submit the service request, Tamarac CRM creates an Outgoing Money task and assigns it to the selected owner. Additional tasks can be created based on the options selected in the request.

This article covers steps to submit the default Outgoing Money service request.

Note

If your firm customized the default service request configuration, the fields available in Outgoing Money may differ.

Submit the service request

To submit the Outgoing Money service request:

  1. From the command bar of an account, select Service Request.

  2. Select Outgoing Money.

  3. Complete the required * and optional fields to provide as much detail as necessary for the request. For general steps to enter service request details, see Submit a service request.

    Field Instructions Considerations
    Financial Account* Select the account associated with the outgoing money request.

     

    Type of Request*

    Select one of the following types of outgoing money request:

    • ACH

    • Wire

    • Journal

    • Mail Check

    • Overnight Check

    • Pick Up Check

     

    Need By Enter the date the money is needed.

    Consider the time required to generate cash if Free Up Cash is needed.

    Amount* Enter the amount to withdraw, transfer, or distribute.

     

    Destination When applicable, specify where the funds should be sent.

     

    State Withholding Enter state tax withholding details. Include a percentage, dollar amount, or other instructions as needed.

     

    Federal Withholding Enter federal tax withholding details. Include a percentage, dollar amount, or other instructions as needed.

     

    Free Up Cash Indicate whether the team must raise cash in the account before processing the request.

    If you select Yes, additional Free Up Cash owner fields appear and CRM generates a Free Up Cash task.

    Recurring Withdrawal Indicate whether this request should occur on a recurring basis.

    If you select Yes, additional Recurring Withdrawal owner fields appear and CRM generates a Recurring Withdrawal task.

    Additional Instructions Enter any information that may help complete the request.

     

    Service Request Task Owner* Select the user or team responsible for completing the request.

    The selected user or team receives the generated Outgoing Money task.

    Priority

    Select a priority level that reflects the urgency of the request:

    • Low

    • Normal

    • High

     

    Send Notification To Select a user who should receive a notification about the request.

    The selected user receives an email notification after submission.

    Free Up Cash Task Owner (User/Team) Select whether to assign the Free Up Cash task to a User or a Team.

    This field appears only when Free Up Cash is set to Yes.

    Free Up Cash Task Owner Select the user or team responsible for generating the cash.

    This field appears only when Free Up Cash is set to Yes.

    Recurring Withdrawal Task Owner (User/Team) Select whether to assign the Recurring Withdrawal task to a User or a Team.

    This field appears only when Recurring Withdrawal is set to Yes.

    Recurring Withdrawal Task Owner Select the user or team responsible for managing the recurring withdrawal.

    This field appears only when Recurring Withdrawal is set to Yes.

  4. After you enter all necessary service request information, select Save and Close to submit the service request.
