Quantity Factor
Use this security setting to reference a quantity of bonds as the total face value for the client holding in Tamarac Trading. The bond’s market value will not change.
Your options are:
Use the default: Tamarac Trading calculates bond shares as a reference item with a quantity factor of 1.00. As a result, you see bond shares as a reference item that does not reflect face value.
The default quantity factor of 1.00 is applied. You see bond shares as a reference item that do not reflect face value.
Adjust the quantity factor: Once you add the appropriate quantity factor for your fixed income securities, you can view and enter share values as face value in trading tools like Quick Trade and Order Blotter. We recommend a quantity factor of 0.01.
A quantity factor of 0.01 is applied. You see the bond shares as face value.
This setting applies to Tamarac Trading only. Tamarac Reporting will behave as before.
