October 2020 - What's New in Tamarac Reporting
Audit the MoneyGuide Last Import Date in Bulk |
When you use the MoneyGuide integration, the MGP Last Import Date column on the Households page helps you keep the probability of success updated in Tamarac. Although you can sort by MGP Last Import Date on the Households page, you may want to audit the last import date for a larger number of Households at once. With this release, we add the MGP Last Import Date column to the Household Information bulk report, allowing you to export that data to audit as many Households as you need.
For more information about tracking MoneyGuide imports and exports, see Export and Import MoneyGuide Data.
For more information about exporting data and bulk reports, see Understanding Bulk Data Exports.
To speed up your quarter-end reporting workflow, we've expanded the number of PDF reports you can include in a ZIP file to a maximum of 500. For example, if you want to generate PDF reports for 1,000 accounts, you can set Number of reports per zip file when generating PDF in batch mode to 500 and Tamarac produces two ZIP files, each containing 500 reports. Find this option under System Settings in PDF Batch Options.
As part of our ongoing effort to improve speed and reliability on the Tamarac Platform, we are continuing to make enhancements under the hood. This table highlights improvements we made since our last release:
Improvement Made | Type of Improvement |

To get you data earlier in the day, we:
|
Code/Database, IT/Infrastructure |
Recently we fine-tuned the code behind some of our reports to speed up report generation. You may notice, for example, that the Household Members bulk report generates up to 70% faster. |
Code/Database |
We've reduced calculation times by 40% for reports that include returns or average daily balance. Larger firms in particular may notice this improvement as reports generate more quickly. |
