Allow Clients to Manually Add and Edit Assets and Liabilities
This client views setting allows your clients to add and edit assets and liabilities directly on their portals. We recommend that you select the Allow clients to manually add and edit assets and liabilities check box and encourage your clients to add their assets and liabilities, since they know those financial details the best.
When you select this option, clients can click the Add Accounts button on the Assets & Liabilities page to add manual assets and liabilities. For more information about adding manual assets and liabilities, see Manually Add Assets and Liabilities From the Client Portal.
If you want clients to be able to add linked accounts, select Allow Clients to Link Outside Accounts as Assets and Liabilities.
When you clear this option, the client will be able to see the Assets & Liabilities page, but won't be able to manage manual assets and liabilities through the portal.
