Security Type

This security setting allows you to assign a security type to a new manual security. The list includes all the security types available in your firm.

Once created, Security Type cannot be changed.

Security Type and Uploads

When creating securities using an upload, make sure that the security type in the upload exactly matches the security types available. See Security Type for a complete list of available security types.

For example, if you create an upload with Equity rather than Equities, or if you enter Manual securities rather than simply Manual, the upload will fail.
