Treat as Committed Capital Security
If a client has committed capital to a venture capital fund, the client will generally need to make contributions over three to five years to satisfy the terms of the agreement. This securities setting allows you to designate a manual security as one requiring committed capital.
Select this check box if entering a committed capital security. When you select Treat as committed capital security, you can set the Fund Inception Date and add Capital Call Dates.
This change is permanent. You cannot clear this check box once you've selected it and saved the change.
When you select Treat as committed capital security, this security will have additional search options when you edit an account. You'll be able to see recently viewed symbols, or, as you type, you can see up to 20 symbols that match your entry.
