October 2024 - What's New in Tamarac Trading
We know that, when trading fixed income, you typically think in terms of face value for bonds in a client’s account. That’s why, with this release, you can apply a quantity factor to bond trades to see the face value of the shares in the display. When you do this, the bond’s market value does not change.
This feature applies to Tamarac Trading only. Tamarac Reporting will behave as before.
You saw bond shares as a reference item that did not reflect face value.
When you add the appropriate quantity factor of 0.01 for this security, you see the bond shares as face value.
Once you add the appropriate quantity factor for your fixed income securities, you can enter share values as face value in trading tools like Quick Trade and Order Blotter.
To see this change, set the Quantity Factor for fixed income securities one at a time or in bulk. We recommend a Quantity Factor of 0.01.
Sometimes bulk reports contain more information than you need or are too large to import into Excel. So that you get only the data you need, we’ve added the ability to filter by date in the following bulk reports:
Sleeve Account Allocations
FIX Messages
With the release, you’ll automatically find the new date period options in Set Additional Options when you edit the bulk report.
For more information about this option, see Date Period (Bulk Reports).
For a list of bulk reports with additional details on the above reports, see Bulk Report Descriptions.
For more information about using bulk reports, see Create, Edit, or Delete a Bulk Report.
