Bill By Total Portfolio or Category

This setting allows you to bill a billing group either based on the entire portfolio's billable value, or only based on the billable value of certain categories.

Select one of the following options:

• Bill by total portfolio: Select this option if you want to bill based on the total value of the portfolio and not based on category, such as asset class.

  When you select this option, the Add Rate Tier button lets you configure the following settings for each rate tier:

  • Percentage Rates
  • Annual Rate
  • Description

• Bill by category: Select this option if you want to base the billing rate on the value of specific security categories, such as asset class, sector, security, and subsector. If you select this option, use the category list to choose the category type you want to use.

  When you select this option, the following unique category settings are available:

  • Allocate Bill Based On Category Values
  • Use SMA Categories
  • Suppress Bill When Not Held
  • The Add Category button lets you add rate tiers for additional categories.

  The Add Rate Tier button lets you configure the following settings for each rate tier within a category:

  • Percentage Rates
  • Annual Rate
  • Description
