This setting is sometimes also called Top (Number) Positions, Sorted By. Use this setting to choose how many holdings or positions are displayed on the dashboard report, and how those holdings are sorted.
You might set this to control how long the Holdings dashboard report is. Because dashboard reports are intended to be very focused, you might have multiple Holdings dashboard reports, each with different sorting options selected, to allow you to address different needs.
To set the number of holdings you want to see, choose from the list. You can choose 10, 25, or 50 holdings.
In this example, the number of holdings is set to 10, and the sort is set to number of accounts holding, which organizes holdings based on the Accounts column.
To designate how to sort those holdings, choose either highest value or number of accounts holding.
In this example, the number of holdings is set to 10, and the sort is set to highest value, which organizes holdings based on the Value column.
This setting is available in the PDF Dashboard when you add a Holdings or Performance Attribution report to a panel. It allows you to control the number and sorting of holdings displayed on the dashboard.
To set the number of holdings you want to see, choose from the list. You can choose 10 or 25 holdings. If you choose to display 25 holdings, you may need to make the dashboard column longer.
To designate how to sort those holdings, choose Description, Quantity, or Value and designate either ascending or descending. This allows you to flexibly sort holdings alphabetically by description, put the holdings with the greatest quantity at the top, or any other sorting you desire.
In this example, the top 10 holdings are displayed with the highest value at the top and the lowest value at the bottom.
