For example, you can send your firm’s quarterly newsletter or privacy policy by email. You can also use a Mail Merge to generate labels for mailings. Before you perform a Mail Merge or Quick Campaign to send an email, it is necessary to confirm that your machine settings are set up according to our best practices.

Starting a Mail Merge

Mail Merges are performed through integration with Microsoft Word. When starting a Mail Merge from the web browser, the Mail Merge has no connection back to CRM. This is useful if you do not want to track activities for your clients; for example, when creating Labels or sending office closure notifications.

Starting a Direct Email

With Tamarac CRM’s Direct Email tool, you can send Emails to a list of Contacts or Leads from your User or from another User in CRM. Direct emails exclusively use email templates, which you can read more about here . When you create an email template, you can choose to include dynamic fields to personalize your emails, similar to a mail merge.

Creating a Template

Templates are useful for saving all content and formatting for future use. Examples include client addresses on Labels and notification emails. Data Managers can create Mail Merge Templates for use with Mail Merges or Email Templates for use with Direct Emails and Quick Campaigns.
