This setting allows you to choose how you want to see SMAs in the report. You can either view separately managed account (SMA) holdings at the group level or you can view a detailed breakout of the SMA holdings.
This setting is only available when you set Group by: to Asset Class.
To view SMA holdings at the group level, select Report SMAs as a single line item.
When selected, all the SMA holdings are combined into one line item.
To view a detailed breakout of the SMA holdings, clear Report SMAs as a single line item.
For each SMA, each holding is reported as separate line items.
Functionality is the same in the PDF report templates as in dynamic reports.
For example, with Report SMAs as a single line item selected, all the SMA holdings are combined into one line item:
With Report SMAs as a single line item cleared, each holding is reported as separate line items for each SMA.
In the new client portal, you can collapse holdings in accounts into a single line to simplify the client’s experience.
Your options are:
Selected. The system combines all holdings marked as SMAs in an account or group into one row.
Cleared. All holdings are shown on their own row, regardless of SMA settings.
This option is available for the following pages in the new client portal:
